Certified translations

A certified translation can only be prepared by a translator who has been publicly appointed and certified by a regional court. To become a publicly appointed and certified translator, one must have completed training to qualify as a translator (university degree, BA/MA in Translation Studies, academically-certified translator, state-certified translator). Our translators have these qualifications and are authorised to confirm the accuracy and completeness of their translations.

Normally, certified translations only have to be presented to courts, public agencies, schools/universities, and the like. Examples for documents that are to be officially recognized after translation include:

- Documents indicating civil status, such as birth certificates, certificates of bachelorhood, certifications of spinsterhood, affidavits of spinsterhood, marriage licenses, non marriage certificates, marriage certificates, divorce decrees, death certificates, statutory declarations of age, custody orders, adoption orders, certificates of inheritance, baptismal certificates, change of name

- Identification documents and authorizations such as identification cards, passports, identification certificates, drivers' licenses, power of attorney, authorization for underage people to travel/to accompany underage people on travels abroad, signatory power

- Registration certificates such as EU and other residence permits, vehicle registration documents, financing confirmation, EU Blue Cards, excerpts from the population register

- Documents relating to citizenship such as renunciation of citizenship, assurance of citizenship, resident registration certificates, changes of name, extracts from the population register, certificates of dismissal, probationary residence permit

- References and certificates such as school reports, degree certificates, internship certificates, job references, licenses to practice medicine, doctoral certificates, certificates of matriculation, confirmation of participation, general certificate of education

- Company documents such as commercial register excerpts, tax clearance certificates, tax returns, articles of incorporation, annual reports, balance sheets, income statements, annual audit certificates, letters of credit, affidavits, confirmations of signature, invoices, contracts, invoices, distribution agreements, confirmation of registered funds

- and other personal documents such as certificates of good conduct, military service certificates, statements of account, checks, medical reports/certificates, pension entitlements, distinctions, job applications and CVs, recommendations, court orders, child-benefit decisions, tax returns, insurance documents, payroll, tax assessment, police clearance certificates, police certificate, criminal clearance certificate, certificates of incumbency, etc.
